Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Marrakech – Imi Oughlad – Tizi N'Tachte – ait issa

Begin your day early from Marrakech, heading south through Moulay Brahim Gorge and upper valleys. Arrive at Imi Oughlad (1450m) to initiate a 2-hour acclimatization hike, weaving through cornfields, pine woods, and juniper. Attain Tiz N'Tachete (2000m) for a panoramic vista of Imlil and Ait Oussaden valleys. Continue for another half hour to Imi N'Ifri for a field picnic. Then, hike southwest for about 2.5 hours to Assif N' Ait Oussaden and the red clay terraced village of Ai Issa (1750m) for accommodation in a guesthouse. Approximately 5 hours of walking promise a day filled with scenic exploration.

Day 2

Tiziane – Tizi N'Taghrhourte – D'knt

Following breakfast, embark on a scenic hike along the Assif N'Ait Oussaden Valley, meandering through lush walnut groves towards the elevated Tizi N'Taghrhourte (1995m). Proceed to Assaka Spring for a delightful field picnic after approximately 2.5 hours. In the afternoon, descend along forest edges to reach the Berber village of D'knt (1900m), where dinner and a cozy overnight stay in a guesthouse await. The day's hike spans approximately 6 hours, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural immersion.

Day 3

D'knt – Tizi N'Tagdalte – Tizi Oussem

Embark on a captivating 3-hour morning hike, winding through walnut groves, corn, and barley fields, encountering local shepherds along the way. Traverse Tizi N'Tagdalte and descend amidst juniper trees to a serene spring, where a delightful picnic awaits. Follow winding tracks for approximately 3 hours, reaching a small river at the valley's onset. Finally, enter the charming village of Tizi Oussem (1850m) for an overnight stay at a welcoming guesthouse. The journey encompasses approximately 6 to 7 hours of walking, promising a memorable exploration of the High Atlas landscapes.

Day 4

Tizi oussem -- Tizi M'zzik --- Imlil

Embark on a trek leading to the enchanting Azib Tamsoulte waterfall, a pristine natural gem. After relishing the waterfall's beauty, cross the Tizi 'n Mzik pass (2,500m), immersing yourself in panoramic vistas. Converge with the main Toubkal valley at Imlil (1,900m), where a satisfying lunch awaits. The day concludes with a restful night at a Guesthouse in the charming village of Armed, the final village in the Imlil area.

Day 5

Imlil – Tizi n Tamatert – Ikkiss – Agersioual - Marrakech

Embark on a captivating 6 to 7-hour trek, weaving through Berber hamlets and conquering two mountain passes, all with the majestic Jbel Oukaïmeden in your sight. The circular route immerses you in breathtaking scenery, beginning with an eastward journey from Imlil (1,740m) along the Tamatert Valley. Head north through the Tizi n’Tamatert pass (2,279m), descending to the Berber village of Tinerhourhine in the Imenane Valley. Follow mule trails amidst almond, walnut, and apple groves, passing terraced Berber hamlets in Ikiss and Amssakrou. Enjoy a scenic picnic in Amssakrou, offering panoramic views of Jbel Oukaïmeden (3,268m), Tizi n’Ou Arg (2,258m), and Tizi n’Tiratene (2,268m). Return westward via Tizi n’Aguerssiouâl pass, traversing the Assif n’ Aït Mizane Valley back to Imlil. The journey continues along mule trails and escarpments through Tizi n’Aguerssiouâl Pass (1,767m) to the village of Aguerssiouâl in the Assif n’ Aït Mizane Valley (2,664m). Head south, marveling at the peaks of Jbel Toubkal, Aguelzim, and Aksouâl, passing through Taddart and Aït Souka villages. The trek concludes with an eastward return to Imlil, followed by a drive to Marrakech in the afternoon.
