Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Marrakech – Imlil/High Atlas Mountains (1740m) – Tizi Mzik (2684m) – Tamsoulte Waterfalls- Tizi Oussem village.

Start your day with breakfast in Marrakech, then embark on a scenic drive to the High Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni. Admire breathtaking views of villages nestled along the valley. Upon reaching Imlil (65km from Marrakech), meet your guide and muleteer, then trek to ascend the Tizi Mzik pass (2684m), offering a spectacular panorama of the Imlil valley and the Toubkal Summit. Continue to Tamsoulte to explore the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains, boasting a height of 100 meters. Descend through the Azzaden valley, surrounded by a juniper forest, to reach the charming Tizi Oussem village. Conclude the day with an overnight stay at a guest house in the village, having spent approximately 5 hours on this enriching trekking experience.

Day 2

A Day of Tranquil Trekking from Tizi Oussem to Armed

Start your day with a delightful breakfast before immersing yourself in the vibrant hues of the valley surrounding Tizi Oussem (1850m). Traverse enchanting Berber villages, soaking in the essence of the landscape. Descend towards Id Issa village (1800m), followed by an ascent to the picturesque Tizi Oudid mountain pass (2000m). Journey through the serene Matat village, meandering amidst a captivating thurifer juniper forest. Pause for a refreshing lunch beneath the canopy of walnut groves, beside the tranquil river. In the afternoon, embark on a brief trek up the valley, culminating in the charming village of Armed. As the day winds down, find repose in Dar Imperial or a similar accommodation for a restful overnight stay.

Day 3

Armed to Dades Valley

From Armed at 9:00 am, journey across the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Traverse Berber villages, witness the transition to the desert landscape, revealing oases and hills adorned with kasbahs. Choose between Ouarzazate Film Studios or a refreshing hike. Arriving at Dades Gorge, enjoy a scenic hike or unwind at your hotel. Spend the night in Dades, with a total driving time of 8 hours.

Day 4

Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Afford - Merzouga

Start your day with breakfast. Journey from Dades Valley to Todra Gorge—a colossal fault in the High Atlas mountains, soaring 300 meters high. Take a scenic hike through the palmery, a verdant oasis with majestic date palms. Venture deeper into the desert, reaching Merzouga for essentials. Proceed to a kasbah to collect your camel. As the sun sets, embark on a 1.5-hour camel trek to a Berber camp. Relish a traditional Moroccan dinner and choose to slumber beneath the celestial expanse or within tents. The journey entails approximately 6 hours of driving time.

Day 5

Merzouga - Alnif - Marrakech

Begin your day with an early rise for a captivating 1-hour camel ride just before sunrise. Return to Merzouga on camelback, enjoy breakfast, and freshen up. Journey through the stony desert and across the Atlas mountains, with stops for photos, exploration, and lunch. The drive back to Marrakech spans approximately 10 hours, with an anticipated arrival time between 17:00hrs and 18:00hrs.
